Error connecting to pipe \\.\pipe\Connect . Internal error: 0
 (N/A)

Hello,

I am running SBS2003 w/ Symantec Mail Security for Exchange

Event ID: 1000

I am getting Error connecting to pipe \\.\pipe\Connect . Internal error: 0                                                          in the application event  viewer since I installed ORFilter. The first stage, that is refusing connection to known relays is working well. Is there a way to disable the second stage intividual scanning of emails by ORFilter?

That way I can continue to use Symantec Mail Security for Exchange for that operation and my event viewer will not fill up with these stop errors.

Thanks in advance

-Greg

Re: Error connecting to pipe \\.\pipe\Connect . Internal error: 0
 (United Kingdom)

I had a similar problem albeit with an 'Internal error: 2'.

I found the problem was with the configuration file (orconfig.xml) where the installation had not replaced my version 4 config file with the version 5 file. The syntax has changed and my log file path was incorrect.

I hope that helps,

Rod.
